Adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Fundamentals
Coming into a martial arts academy can be intimidating for the beginning student. The Alliance Fundamentals curriculum has been designed by Alliance Jiu-Jitsu founders: Romero “Jacare” Calvacanti, Alexandre “Gigi” Paiva and Fabio Gurgel to allow students to build the core techniques needed to progress. This is the universal Alliance curriculum that is taught at all Alliance academies and has enabled Alliance to become the premier team in the world.
Our goal with the fundamentals class is to allow our students to learn jiu-jitsu by focusing on the controlled drilling of techniques with active application in a controlled setting.
The class also serves as a foundation for all students of BJJ. Lessons are focused on teaching the principles of the art, including self-defense, basic techniques and to commit the core movements of BJJ to muscle memory.
The Alliance Adult BJJ Fundamentals program is designed to be the foundation for all students to progress.
Adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
For the student who is ready to apply their techniques in a more practical setting. Our Adult BJJ program builds off of the core techniques taught in the BJJ Fundamentals program and allows the student to continue their growth and understanding of the art. Whether a student is looking for fitness, self defense or competition they will find what they need in our Adult BJJ program. Drilling and controlled sparring are an integral part of this class.
